1996 – Purchased Galveston Bay assets of Cedar Point Oil Company 1999 – Formed Energy Reserves Group L.L.C. 2003 – Purchased the Orcutt Field, Santa Barbara County, California from Nuevo Energy Company in 2003. The field produced approximately 1500 BOPD and included a field office of 15 employees. Divested for significant return. 2004 – Purchased Plains Illinois, Inc., former Marathon assets in the Illinois Basin, from Plains Exploration and Production Company in 2004. Four fields produced 2200 BOPD from 900 wells with 70 employees. Divested for significant return. 2006 – Changed name to ERG Resources, L.L.C. 2007 – Purchased interest in the High Island Field located in Galveston County, Texas. The field is currently producing 600 BOPD/ ERG has initiated active drilling program and has proprietary 3D seismic over the acreage. There are approximately 20+ additional locations. ERG also purchased Hoskins Mound Field in Brazoria County, Texas. The acquisition included a 65% interest in a 105 square mile proprietary 3D seismic survey with ChevronTexaco owning the remaining 35%. ERG has identified approximately 34 opportunities and plans to initiate drilling in the first quarter of 2008. ERG has purchased several miscellaneous interests as complementary assets to the company’s existing Texas operations. ERG currently produces approximately 1400 BOE located in the Texas Gulf Coast and Rocky Mountain regions. Operations in Texas include several State leases located in Galveston Bay. ERG currently has a $100mm credit facility with Citigroup and is aggressively seeking assets in the range of $50-250mm. 2008 – ERG acquired the interest of GeoResources, Inc. in the Grass Island Field, located in Calhoun County, Texas and the Port Neches Field in Orange County Texas. ERG has assumed operations and continues to evaluate operational efficiencies. The two fields are currently producing approximately 300 net BOPD. The acquisition has added 26 producing wells, 6 potential PDNP wells, 1 PUD location, and a considerable amount of production facilities and operational equipment to ERG's asset base. |
